2020 Tournament
The 2020 Annual Bean Camping Tournament was held in McDade, TX on October 16th - 18th. Global pandemic be dammed as 17 players from across the state of Texas gathered to compete to be champion of the first tournament of the 2020 decade. The returning competitors included former champions: James Bean, Jeff Bean, Danny Bean, John Bean Sr., David Bean, John "JT" Bean Jr., and reigning champion Drew Lamont. Additional competitors included: Shane Bean, Tyler Bean, Paul Smith, Chance McShan, Jordan Brown, Matt Lamont, Ryan Terry, Jim Bean, Andy Huber and David Lawrence Bean.

At the half-way point, the clubhouse leader was Danny Bean at 12.5 points with Drew Lamont was close behind at 13.5 points.
As the sun rose Saturday morning the games of BAGS and Washers were played (saving darts for the evening):

As we headed into Saturday evening, the final event of Darts loomed to determine the 2020 champion. As expected the two leaders heading into the last event were Danny Bean at 15.5pts and Drew at 18.5pts. As fate would have it, both were sent to losers bracket early and faced each other in an elimination game. While it took 4 overtimes, it was clear Drew had the steadier hand as he proceeded to win the match and carry the momentum to win two more matches and thus clinching the 2020 victory.

FINAL SCORE and standings for the tournament splitting the Dart points are as follows:
1st - Drew Lamont (22), 2nd - Danny Bean (26), 3rd - James Bean (34.5), 4th - Shane & Jeff Bean (41.5), 6th - John Bean Sr. (46.5), 7th - JT Bean & Paul Smith (50.5)
With his victory, Drew becomes only the 4th competitor in 37 years to achieve back-to-back victories. Drew also is the first and only champion of the 2020 decade which marks the 5th decade of competition of these storied games. Drew success has been impressive and this victory was well deserved, attention however is quickly turning to the 2021 games as Drew will attempt to go back-to-back-to-back for only the 2nd time ever.
